Jonestown - November 18, 1978

"The Guyana suicides, I had trouble handling it. So, I tried to draw a different butterfly for everybody. And they were dead, so I stuck these pins through them. Thinking about that particular life, I will feel better about it. They won't feel any better but I will. This figure is to show that she gets involved whether she want to or not. She get swirled up in that. This monarch butterfly is Jim Jones, see he's dead, too. I used a monarch because the monarch is beautiful butterfly, but the birds don't eat it, it tastes terrible. It's not what it appears.
